**About Us**

We are the Planning and Performance team at the New Zealand Government. Our goal is to deliver high-quality accountability reports that accurately reflect our impact on everyday Kiwis.

We strive for excellence in performance measurement, business planning, risk management, and internal reporting to senior leadership. We also play a key role in supporting the organization and providing advice on strategic planning and Ministerial/Parliamentary requests.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to senior leaders on performance measurement, risk, business planning, and reporting. You will use your strong relationship management skills to effectively partner with other teams across the organization to ensure our reports meet Ministerial expectations and Commission objectives.

The successful candidate will have experience developing and enhancing accountability frameworks, processes, performance measurement, and reporting within the public sector. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to quickly understand complex processes, and use critical thinking to drive creative solutions.

Additionally, they will have proven ability to plan, prioritize, and organize their workload to ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered to an agreed standard. A relevant tertiary qualification is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance accountability frameworks and processes
  • Support senior leaders on performance measurement, risk, business planning, and reporting
  • Partner with other teams to ensure reports meet Ministerial expectations and Commission objectives
  • Analyze complex information and provide recommendations

About the Role:

This is a permanent position based in Wellington. The indicative salary range is $112,970 to $132,906 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary that reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organization.
