We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team as an EHS Advisor. As an EHS Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting our Higgins teams on all HSE-related matters, ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and contractors.

\

Key Responsibilities

\

  2. Support the EHS Manager in implementing HSE policies and procedures across the organization;\
  3. Conduct comprehensive accident/incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions;\
  4. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in HSE;\
  5. Provide coaching and guidance to management and contractors on HSE best practices;\
  6. Maintain accurate records of HSE incidents and near-misses, including investigation reports and recommendations;\
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of HSE initiatives;\
  8. Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards in HSE.\\[/ol]\

Requirements

\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

\
  • \
  • Previous advisory experience in health and safety within the civil construction industry;\
  • Tertiary qualifications in EHS or a related field;\
  • Excellent knowledge of the NZ legislative environment, including HSE, ACC, and HSNO;\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach others;\
  • A thorough understanding of work-related illnesses and injuries, and rehabilitation processes.\\[/ul]\
