About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer/Consultant Histopathologist to join our dynamic team in the Anatomical Pathology Department at Waikato Hospital. Our pathologists cover all areas of general histopathology and non-gynae cytology with the opportunity to participate in some areas of sub-specialty depending on the applicant's background and experience.

As an anatomical pathologist in our team, you will have autonomy, mastery, and purpose to deliver your mahi and contribute to the broader objectives of our busy laboratory. The role is a permanent full-time position, requiring applicants to hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in a team of 11 anatomical pathologists at Waikato Hospital to provide diagnostic laboratory services.
  • Full time with participation in the Duty Pathologist Roster.
  • Provide clinical advice through Multi-disciplinary meeting attendance.
