Job Description

The successful applicant will be based in Hamilton at Waikato Hospital, working in partnership within a team of 11 anatomical pathologists and 2 registrars. The department works in collaboration with clinicians from across the hospital and region to deliver anatomical pathology services in a tertiary hospital setting.

Role Overview

The role involves providing high-quality diagnostic laboratory services, including histopathology and non-gynae cytology. Applicants must be able to solve problems in a complex, constantly changing environment and demonstrate commitment to delivering high-quality and timely service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).

  • An ability to solve problems in a complex, constantly changing environment.
