Reinsurance Operations Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

This role involves providing reinsurance administration support, extracting, reconciling, manipulating and analysing data, administering treaties, maintaining existing tools and systems, and learning and understanding AIA NZ's risk management framework.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Reinsurance administration support includes claim recoveries from and premium payments to reinsurers, monthly accruals for claim recoveries and premium payments, and reinsurance treaty administration.
  2. Extract, reconcile, manipulate and analyse data to produce recovery requests/invoices and associated journals.
  3. Administer treaties to ensure they are up to date, perform renewals, execute amendments and keep required treaty governance documents in order.
  4. Maintain existing tools, models, systems, processes and documentation and proactively contribute to their improvement and development.
  5. Assist in investigation of incidents, assist in testing of controls and conducting model validations.
