Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in New Zealand. As a BDM, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our business in the region by identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with customers, and developing tailored solutions to meet their needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new sales opportunities aligned with targeted profiles
  • Engage with prospective customers to build understanding and tailor solutions
  • Drive C-level engagement, build relationships, stakeholder engagement, and influence customer decision making
  • Manage a pipeline in the CRM tool for visibility across the business
  • Engage internally with Commercial, Product, and Operations Management to align support required to win
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions and competitors' capability to differentiate our offering

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry experience
  • Demonstrable track record of overachievement in new business sales
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a customer's organisation
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of supply chain and logistics business requirements
  • Competitive, resilient attitude with strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to details with ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
