We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in New Zealand. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise to a wide range of projects throughout the region and wider New Zealand. Your role will involve working alongside and supporting the Geotechnical Lead in providing geotechnical solutions for various clients, project management, and the growth of the geotechnical team.

The successful candidate will be involved in geotechnical analysis, including the application of the latest analysis methods and software. This will involve a thorough understanding of soil mechanics, including liquefaction, lateral spreading, settlement, earth pressure, slope stability, and bearing capacity. An understanding of the behavior of volcanic soils would be beneficial.

In addition to geotechnical analysis, the ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of NZ design codes and earthquake engineering practices. They will also be proficient in the design of foundations for buildings and structures, slope stabilization, and ground improvement. Earthworks and retention structures are also an essential part of this role.

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess a BEng/BSc Civil (Geotechnical) degree with 3 to 5 years of postgraduate experience. You will also need to be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or on track for CPEng. Strong skills and experience in geotechnical analysis and design are essential, as well as excellent communication and report writing skills.

The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator and report writer, with a strong focus on client service delivery. They will be a collaborative team player, with a current valid driver's license and a current valid visa to work in New Zealand (or residency).

We offer a range of benefits, including a salary of $97,000 to $133,000, extra leave, gym access, a laptop, and phone. You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including geotechnical analysis, design, and project management.
