About the Role
As a Curriculum Advisor with Te Mahau | Te Tai Raro, you will play a key role in supporting the development of high-quality teaching and learning programmes in early learning settings, schools, and kura. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in Aotearoa's education system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to teachers and kaiako on the development of teaching and learning programmes that meet the diverse educational needs of all students.
- Work closely with schools, kura, and early learning services to provide support on curriculum development, assessment practices, and implementation of government curriculum priorities.
- BUILD collaborative networks within communities and actively share good practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
- Strong, proven curriculum design expertise and a deep working knowledge and practical experience in literacy and communication or maths teaching (early learning, primary, or secondary), or te reo matatini or pangarau teaching (kaupapa Maori or Maori medium).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in teaching and learning, leadership, and curriculum and assessment theory and practice, with an ability to support professional change in education settings.
