About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time role based at Sudima Queenstown Five Mile Hotel, with a rotating roster including weekend shifts and some overnight shifts. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily planning for guest arrivals and departures
  • Smooth and accurate check-in and out process
  • Ensuring guests are provided with exceptional 4.5-star service, with a WOW factor that sets us apart
  • Promptly handling any guest issues and ensuring effective service recovery
  • Handling emergency situations and following procedures to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and visitors
  • Effective liaison with housekeeping, central reservations, maintenance, restaurant, conference, and Moss Spa
  • Assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the hotel in the absence of Senior Management

Requirements

  • NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or at least 3 years' experience working within a Hotel Reception environment
  • Able to multi-task, show flexibility, and meet deadlines while working under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • IT literate, with accuracy and the ability to spot errors
  • Current General Managers Certificate is essential
  • Valid First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
