**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Nurse to join our East Adult Community Psychiatric Service team. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with consumers, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support.

**Key Responsibilities**

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Care management and case coordination for a caseload of consumers
  • Assessment, development of treatment plans, and liaison with whanau and other carers, NGOs, police, probation, and other services
  • Working autonomously and as part of a cohesive team to achieve desired outcomes
  • Developing effective rapport with consumers who may be mentally unwell or distressed

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Mental health scope and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • Experience working in mental health, ideally with 2+ years of experience
  • A valid New Zealand driver's license
  • Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
