The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager, Infection Prevention & Control, to lead our team and develop an effective infection prevention program that meets the Nga Paerewa Health and Disability services standard (NZS 8134:2021). The successful candidate will have advanced practice knowledge and skills in understanding surveillance, microbiology, and healthcare environments. They will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to positively influence consumer outcomes and use data for change.

About the Role
This dynamic leadership position requires excellent communication and change management skills to champion high-level quality improvement within the specialty. As the role is both strategic and operational, the ideal candidate will be able to balance multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an infection prevention program that meets the required standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve consumer outcomes and use data for change
- Lead the team to achieve quality improvement goals and objectives
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote the infection prevention program
