Regulatory Excellence in Rail

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Rail Safety Officer. In this role, you will deliver regulatory excellence in rail transport, ensuring that organizations involved in rail activity meet their safety duties and obligations.

About the Role

You will be responsible for conducting investigations into railway incidents, preparing investigation reports for regulatory outcomes, and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance rail transport safety.

This role requires strong regulatory compliance experience, as well as extensive practical experience and knowledge in transport, infrastructure, or engineering. You will also need proven experience in performance or outcome monitoring and excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and efficient investigations into railway incidents
  • Prepare investigation reports for regulatory outcomes
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and provide guidance on rail transport safety matters
  • Contribute to policy development and procedure implementation to enhance rail transport safety
