About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Cloud Transformation Expert to join our team at Theta, a New Zealand-owned technology consultancy with over 25 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to our clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive digital transformation.
  • Create functional design specifications and solutions reference architectures, ensuring the usage of common well-architected frameworks.
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions and troubleshoot complex cloud or hybrid issues, delivering value for our customers.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive cloud solutions, ensuring coordination between parties and technical expertise.
  • Guide and mentor other architects and engineering staff, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer-facing skills, strong attention to detail, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, with solid software architecture experience and a good understanding of infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on skills with a pragmatic style, backed by theory and best practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
  • Ability to identify trends and share them with the wider team to build new offerings.
