About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Professional to lead our National Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies, systems, and initiatives across the organisation.

This senior leadership role will require strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and implementation of our Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy.
  2. Provide expert guidance on risk management, compliance, and workplace wellbeing initiatives.
  3. Ensure adherence to the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and other relevant regulations.
  4. Develop, review, and improve Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies, procedures, and systems.
  5. Oversee incident reporting, investigation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Lead a team of Health, Safety and Wellbeing Leads and Administrators, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
  7. Promote a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture across all Playcentres.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our values.
