Playcentre Aotearoa has an exciting opportunity for an experienced National Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Manager to lead and embed a strong safety culture across the organisation, ensuring the effective implementation of HSW policies, systems, and initiatives. This senior leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of our people, developing strategic Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Days and Hours:This is a permanent position for 40 hours per week, based at our National Service Centre in central Porirua, a 5-minute walk from the train station.
Duties include, but are not limited to:- Lead the development and implementation of Playcentre Aotearoa's Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy.
- Provide expert guidance on risk management, compliance and workplace wellbeing initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and other relevant regulations.
- Develop, review, and improve HSW policies, procedures and systems.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigation processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead a team of HSW Leads and Administrators, fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across all Playcentres.
- Experience in a senior HSW leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management and compliance requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing HSW policies, systems and strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Playcentre Aotearoa's values.
- Adept at working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Enjoys working collaboratively with a 'can do' attitude.
