About the Role:

Digital Island has ambitious growth targets, and this role plays a pivotal part in the vision, leadership, and execution of the company's Sales & Retention strategy to ensure we achieve our financial goals.

The position of Cloud Communications Strategy Director is an integral part of our Executive Leadership Team and serves as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leaders across the business.

This individual will cultivate a high-performance environment and possess a strong ability to influence at all levels. They will be a 'Cloud' enthusiast who can effectively create a compelling narrative that drives extensive Services, Technology, and Consumption-based revenues for our clients.

We're looking to expand further into Enterprise-sized clients, and our Sales leader needs to develop the right structure, tools, and strategy to continue achieving success in this segment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-channel sales, multi-segment strategy, aligning with overall business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by setting ambitious sales targets, forecasting accurately, and implementing strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Customer Success Management: Oversee key account management activities, nurturing relationships with strategic clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, customer acquisitions, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Partner Channel Development: Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow and expand the partner channel for the cloud communications business.
  • Identify and onboard strategic partners, resellers, system integrators, and consultants to extend market reach and increase sales opportunities.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously improve sales processes, methodologies, and tools to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness throughout the customer journey.
  • Sales Performance Analytics: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline health, and conversion rates to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Pricing and Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop competitive pricing models, negotiate contracts, and ensure favorable terms and conditions for the business.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment and collaboration on go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and customer success.
