We are seeking an experienced General Manager of Operations to join our team at Team Recruitment.

About the Opportunity

This is your chance to roll up your sleeves, drive excellence, lead a high-performing team, and help shape the future of 3PL warehouse operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing 3PL operations, ensuring quality of service across all functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee 3PL operations, ensuring quality of service across all functions.
  • Hands-On Management: Be deeply involved in the day-to-day workings of the division, actively engaging with teams and processes to drive success.
  • People Management: Lead, inspire, and develop teams, creating a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with clients, including rate negotiations and contract management.
  • Automation Rollout: Spearhead the implementation of cutting-edge robotics and warehouse automation projects.
  • Strategic Vision: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the division operates as a seamless, efficient, and commercially robust entity.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a proven experience in an Operations Management role within 3PL, with a focus on leadership and innovation. You should have hands-on expertise in warehouse development, from concept to execution, and strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiations and stakeholder management.

You should also have exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to build cohesive teams and drive performance, and a passion for delivering excellence in logistics, warehousing, and automation.

Your Leadership Team

You'll work closely with a leader who values autonomy and fosters a collaborative approach. They provide clear direction and empowerment to make impactful decisions, ensuring a balance of independence and guidance.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand, including New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or individuals holding a valid work visa. Proof of eligibility may be required during the application process.
