About the RoleThe Adult Community Mental Health Service provides treatment for people aged 18-65 years who suffer from a wide range of mental disorders. As a Clinical Psychologist in this exciting role, you will enjoy providing assessment, formulation, and treatment interventions for outpatients of our Community Mental Health team in Christchurch. Some inpatient work might also be required.
Psychologists working in the East team become part of a larger Psychology team and have access to journal clubs and special interest groups to support their practice. Each psychologist is funded to attend professional training, and psychologists are encouraged to develop specialty areas of practice and teach or do research in those areas. We also offer a range of free training in supervision and leadership.
We welcome applicants with mental health experience to deliver comprehensive assessment and support to clients and their families/whanau. You will be an active participant in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with referrers and colleagues from other agencies.
