Job Description

The role of Senior Analyst in Liquidity Risk is a critical position within the bank's risk management framework. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the financial stability of ANZ's New Zealand operations by analyzing and reporting on liquidity and funding risks.

This involves ensuring compliance with ANZ Group policy, as well as regulatory standards set by both RBNZ and APRA. The candidate will work closely with Treasury, NZ Markets, and senior leadership to manage liquidity risk within the bank's defined appetite.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of liquidity risk management and key risk metrics, as well as knowledge of financial instruments and their impact on liquidity.

A proven ability to analyze complex data and provide insights that inform business decisions is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards (RBNZ, APRA)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Python, SQL and Tableau
  • A curious mindset and an aptitude for using data to understand risk
