About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic surgical nursing team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient-focused care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- To provide high-quality patient care in the perioperative environment, adhering to best practice and national standards.
- To work effectively within a fast-paced team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload to meet deadlines.
- To maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- To participate in professional development and education, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
- To collaborate with colleagues to achieve quality patient outcomes and improve departmental efficiency.
Requirements
- A current New Zealand Practicing Certificate.
- Experience in the perioperative environment, preferably in a similar role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A can-do attitude with a focus on quality and patient care.
- Flexibility to work extra hours as required.
