Role Overview

The Independent Prison Visitor Scheme is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Prison Inspectors to join our team. As an Independent Prison Visitor, you will contribute to ensuring the high standards of Victoria's prison system reflect community standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend prisons once a month to observe operations and engage with prisoners, staff, and visitors.
  • Provide written reports to the Minister for Corrections detailing your observations and recommendations.
