We are seeking a Legal Researcher to join our team at the Wellington District Court.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with District Court Judges and Community Magistrates, providing high-quality research and support.

About the Opportunity

This is a 2-3 year fixed term internship that offers motivated and enthusiastic law professionals the chance to develop a deep understanding of the judicial system.

  • You will be responsible for providing research and supporting the work of the District Court Judges and Community Magistrates.

To be successful, you will need to be highly organized, able to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing research to support the work of the District Court Judges and Community Magistrates.
  • Managing workloads and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • LLB with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent written communication and research skills.
  • Good computer literacy.

What We Offer

  • A competitive starting salary of $67,845, rising after 6 months service and subsequent 6-month periods.
