College Catering is a large food service operation producing over 8,500 meals per day to eleven University Colleges. We are seeking experienced Senior Chefs to join our team based at Te Rangihīroa College, Carrington College, and Hayward College within the University Union's College Catering Department.
This role requires an effective leader with a strong work ethic, vision, and ability to contribute to an already high-performing food service. We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a senior leadership role.
- A fully qualified chef certification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Excellent customer service skills and great communication abilities.
- Experience operating a food safety program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, varied, and nutritious meals, considering special dietary needs.
The successful candidate will have a high level of competency and the ability to work as part of a team. They will be based in Carrington College and Hayward College, working 40 hours per week, as per roster, which includes weekend days. The appointment range is $30.76 - $32.21 per hour, top of range $33.66 per hour.
