Castle Keeper

Larnach Castle, a renowned visitor attraction in the Otago Peninsula, is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Housekeeper to join its dynamic team.

We require someone who is physically fit, possesses a professional demeanor, has a keen eye for detail, and excels in a team environment. Previous housekeeping experience is highly preferred.

As a Senior Housekeeper, you will oversee the team on days when the Housekeeping Supervisor is absent. Key responsibilities include deputizing for the supervisor, performing hands-on tasks, allocating duties for the housekeeping team, checking rooms to ensure set standards are met, and undertaking general cleaning duties for our accommodation and specialized work within the castle.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• Cleaning/Housekeeping experience
• The ability to lead and motivate a team
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Physical fitness to perform housekeeping tasks
• Strong communication skills
