About the Position Description
This permanent part-time position involves 20 hours per week and is based in Wellington. The successful candidate will play a critical role supporting the delivery of our emissions inventory and climate statement reports as well as Transpower's wider climate risk and sustainability strategy programmes.
Responsibilities
Streamline our greenhouse gas and climate risk reporting data processes, whilst developing innovative procedures and identifying efficiencies in ways of working; collect, analyse and report on our carbon footprint in accordance with Greenhouse Gas (GHG) standards and protocols in support of the delivery of our annual emissions inventory report; define, collate and report on climate-related data and the financial impact to Transpower of climate-related risks and opportunities in accordance with GHG standards and the XRB's Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards in support of the delivery of our annual climate statement report.
Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years technical accounting expertise, numeracy skills and great attention to detail with the ability to analyse and communicate financial information effectively; experience carrying out internal auditing of data and compliance and support with external assurance activities; proven MS Excel spreadsheet skills at an intermediate-to-advanced level; sound experience with developing both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
