We are seeking three experienced Senior Advisors to join our Hazardous Substances Applications team at the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a busy workload of applications, working across various legislation and work streams, and providing expertise to support our statutory functions.

About You

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (postgraduate preferred) with experience in a regulatory context, such as under the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, and related legislation.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of the regulatory landscape as it applies to hazardous chemicals (desirable).
  • Experience in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation for effective hazardous substance management.
  • Ability to analyze technical material, comprehend information, and communicate complex ideas simply.
  • A great team player who exhibits skills and behaviors that support a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and reporting skills with a focus on delivering great customer service.
