We are seeking an experienced Environmental Management Specialist to join our team at the New Zealand Government's Environmental Protection Authority (EPA). As a key member of our Hazardous Substances & New Organisms Group, you will play a critical role in managing consent application and reassessment processes.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage and provide leadership to a team of Senior Advisors and Advisors
- Collaborate with stakeholders across government, public, and private sectors
- Apply workflow and project management principles to ensure efficient evaluation of hazardous substances applications
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in people management and leadership
- Strong understanding of workflow and project management principles
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a related field
