Rehabilitation Therapist

Puāwai rehabilitation unit is a 12-bed inpatient unit that works mainly with adults needing neurological and physical rehabilitation. The patient groups include predominantly stroke and TBI, but also a range of other presentations including tumours, hypoxic brain injury, functional neurological disorder and orthopaedic injury.
This role will involve carrying out neuropsychological assessments and occasional capacity assessments. You will work within the rehabilitation team to develop and implement evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes.
You will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of optimising patient outcomes and facilitating effective discharge planning, using a patient centred and evidence-based approach to goal setting and intervention.
