About the Job Description

As our Cloud Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for mentoring and coaching your team while ensuring the Timely and SalonBiz Platforms evolve and grow appropriately to support our other Platform and Product Engineering teams.

You'll work closely with the Head of Platform Engineering & SVP of Technology, as well as Engineering Managers in other technical areas, to inform product direction, scoping, and priority. Your team's focus areas include scalability, deployment, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Mentor and coach your team to ensure the platforms evolve and grow appropriately.

  2. Work closely with the Head of Platform Engineering & SVP of Technology to inform product direction, scoping, and priority.

  3. Foster a team environment where people can succeed.

  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve scalability, deployment, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure systems.

  5. Manage a small team while still doing some technical design and implementation.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with strong people management and coaching skills, a solid understanding of DevOps skills like Terraform, software deployment, and cloud architecture, and experienced in a variety of Cloud Platforms and understand key concepts and how to leverage them.
