Are you a driven, technically skilled professional looking to make an impact in the fireproofing industry? We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative based in Auckland who is looking to leverage their technical knowledge in a client-facing role, to help drive our client's growth and innovation in their Fireproofing Group.

Our client is a distinguished market leader specialising in the manufacture, formulation, and specification of premium industrial protective coatings, fireproofing and other industrial associated coatings throughout NZ. About the Role: Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, this is a dynamic role for a motivated individual who thrives on challenge, variety, and personal development. Working closely with the company's fireproofing technical team and in-house fire lab engineers, you'll play a key role in driving growth and expanding their market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
  2. Increase sales by actively seeking new business opportunities nationally and growing existing accounts.
  3. Drive market development for customised passive fire protection applications.
  4. Deliver technical presentations to industry forums, engineers, specifiers, and key stakeholders.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service and effective feedback.
  6. Maintain customer files, reports, and ensure compliance with budgets and company values.
  7. Collaborate with the technical team to contribute to product management and technical documentation.
Key Requirements:
  1. 3–5 years of proven technical experience in engineering, chemical sales, or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of fire protection standards and methods.
  3. Willingness to learn and excel in the structural steel fire protection market.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication with a customer-centric approach.
  5. Ability to plan, schedule, and organise effectively with a proactive mindset.
  6. Collaborative, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  7. Understanding of pricing, margins, and market dynamics.
  8. Innovative and detail-oriented with accuracy in figures and reports.
  9. Computer literate with strong keyboard skills.
  10. A neat, professional appearance.
  11. Current NZ driver's licence and the ability to travel as required.
