About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Field Specialist to join our team in Tauranga. This role involves working outdoors with geotechnical and environmental monitoring equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven interest or basic experience in electronics, along with practical experience using various power and hand tools. They should also be competent on a computer and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembling, configuring, and deploying telemetry equipment and sensors
  • Monitoring field instruments, processing data, and reporting
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with electronic equipment and monitoring hardware
  • Instrument data integration with our software
  • SUPPORTING existing projects and customers through periodic field maintenance and troubleshooting

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A full New Zealand driver's license for occasional travel
  • An interest in working outdoors and a proven interest or basic experience in electronics
  • Practical experience using various power and hand tools
  • Good communication skills and ability to interface with customers
  • Desire for ongoing learning and ability to develop new skills and knowledge independently
