Deliver Results in Conservation
The Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) is a government agency responsible for protecting and restoring nature across New Zealand. We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Supervisor (Fixed Term). As a key member of our Heritage and Visitors, Community/ Visitor Centre and Local Bodies teams, you will be responsible for delivering agreed work programmes, providing training, supervision, and support to your team members.

About the Role
You will lead monthly operating reviews and weekly ranger and district leadership team meetings, ensure a high operating standard by rangers through effective supervision and support, recruit and induct new team members, and provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need leadership skills with experience mentoring, coaching, and fostering a collaborative team culture, practical skills in areas such as construction, building, maintenance, or plumbing, and a valid NZ driver's license.
