About the Role
This Senior Advisor position plays a critical role in shaping the future of workforce capability in Family Violence and Sexual Violence (FVSV). As a key member of our team, you will guide and provide leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of national learning initiatives across Te Puna Aonui partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for guiding cross-agency collaboration to ensure FVSV workforce training prioritises equity, reaches underserved communities, and is inclusive and reflects diverse needs. Additionally, you will champion culturally responsive capability building approaches that incorporate Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and meet the needs of tangata whenua, Pacific peoples, ethnic communities, disabled and Deaf people, LGBTQIA+ people, older people, and children and young people.
What You'll Do
- Guide and provide leadership in FVSV workforce capability projects, ensuring alignment with national frameworks
- Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to measure training impact
- Advise senior stakeholders on workforce capability, training, and best practices
- Collaborate with Te Puna Aonui agencies to embed sustainable learning initiatives
- Influence policy and strategic workforce development through data-driven insights
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- a commitment to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity in learning
- a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Learning & Development, Education, Research and Evaluation), or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience in a related field
- extensive experience in workforce capability development, training design, or evaluation at a strategic level
- strong experience engaging with and advising senior stakeholders across government and sector agencies
- understanding of violence- and trauma-informed, culturally responsive learning approaches and their integration into workforce development
