We Are Looking for a Professional Experience Manager to Lead and Oversee Our College Programmes

New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) is a respected institution dedicated to providing high-quality education to early childhood and healthcare students in New Zealand and globally. We offer comprehensive and professional study programs to enable our students to excel in their chosen fields.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the importance of professional experiences in teacher education and a proven track record of leading and managing such initiatives. This role involves designing, structuring, and delivering professional experiences across our college programmes, ensuring alignment with sector and regulatory requirements.

We require someone who can build strong relationships with education providers, mentors, Associate Teachers, and stakeholders, while maintaining best practice in practicum placements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, as well as a passion for enhancing student learning experiences through real-world practice.

In this role, you will also have opportunities to engage in research and continuous improvement in professional experiences, developing and maintaining course guides for practicum across multiple programmes.

To succeed in this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Current fully registered, qualified teacher.
  • Hold an appropriate qualification at a minimum of a master's level degree in education, preferably in early childhood teacher education.
  • At least five years' experience in teacher education and professional placements.
  • Knowledge of and a passion for increasing quality teacher education through practicum experiences in Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • Strong knowledge of educational regulations and professional teaching standards in New Zealand.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for enhancing student learning experiences through real-world practice.
  • Flexible and open to occasional travel nationwide but mostly based in Auckland.
