The Customer Support Field Engineer represents Panasonic Field Engineering interests in resolution of technical issues with other Panasonic and the airlines engineering departments. This role performs on-site support, technical guidance, support, and training to airline customers and OEMs to ensure product requirements, performance, and reliability objectives are met. Your key responsibilities include guiding and managing investigations relating to IFEC hardware, network, software, and services from issue discovery to resolution. You will provide troubleshooting assistance and support related to new hardware installations, modifications, wiring, software, issue isolation, and resolution. Additionally, you will carry out testing before aircraft delivery, on the ground, and inflight. To succeed in this role, you will need a full working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems which interface with Panasonic equipment. You must also have an associate's degree or equivalent educational qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field. Furthermore, you should have 5 years of experience in Information Technology, electronics/avionics systems, software, or broadcast technology. It would be desirable to have experience in identifying engineering problems in software and hardware and reporting to Field Engineering management. Network/Software and system development/integration experience is also highly valued. You should be able to work independently and establish work priorities. Finally, you should be able to tailor your communication style to different audiences (technical vs non-technical). We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative culture that values diversity and inclusion. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team driving innovation in the aerospace industry. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and have a strong technical background, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
