Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights and drive performance. This includes managing and developing a high-performing team, delivering monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and developing business and investment cases to support sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial insights and drive performance by partnering with Dairy, Dairy Support, Sheep & Beef Farming, and Forestry leadership.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop business and investment cases to support sustainable growth and protect tribal assets.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and manage financial risks to maintain a stable financial position.
  • Identify and drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  1. 6 - 8 years' experience in finance, agribusiness, primary industries, or commercial operations.
  2. Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights that support productivity and growth.
  3. An understanding of either Dairy and Sheep & Beef Farming, or Forestry operations and their financial impact.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-making.
  5. At least 2 years of leadership or management experience in the financial sector.
  6. CA qualification to CAANZ (or equivalent).
  7. Be willing to travel Aotearoa from time to time.
