Salary

We offer an attractive salary package, with the APEX Psychologist Step 1-8 range being $83 708 - $112 058 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to work with adults experiencing mental health difficulties within a forensic context. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of best-practice psychological theories and treatment approaches. Previous experience with forensic, correctional, or high-risk clients would be beneficial.

You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team providing specialist care to forensic clients in hospital, prison, and community settings. The role involves undertaking psychological assessments and interventions, liaising with teams, writing court reports, and providing consult-liaison services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Registration with the NZ Psychologist Board and current annual practising certificate.

The successful candidate must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
