About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced psychiatrist to join our Community Mental Health Team at Cornwall House, based in Epsom.
  • As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work across the Care and Recovery team and the Planned Acute Care team, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment options.
  • You will be responsible for your own caseload and provide medical input to the multi-disciplinary team.

About the Team/Service

  • The Care and Recovery team provides assessment and therapeutic treatment options for adults experiencing serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders.
  • The Planned Acute Care team offers assessment and intervention to individuals who require acute care in the community.
  • You will see service users at the center and also conduct home, community, and GP-based visits and liaison.

About You

">
  • Candidates must be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate or be eligible for one.
  • A Post Graduate qualification in Psychiatry is preferred.
  • You will be part of a dedicated service supporting excellent clinical care and developing your existing Mental Health knowledge and clinical skills.
