We are seeking a skilled Fashion Retail Operations Manager to lead our retail boutique in Hamilton East. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with 37.5 hours per week.
About the RoleIn this position, you will oversee daily shop operations, drive sales, and create a welcoming shopping experience for customers. You will also lead a team of Assistant Managers, Volunteers, and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-day operations, including presentation, stock sorting, pricing, and opening/closing procedures.
- Create a stylish shopping environment that showcases fashion expertise.
- Engage customers, identify needs, and recommend products to meet targets.
- Promote and manage incoming donations to maintain a diverse product range.
- Lead a team, support a collaborative work environment, and ensure all employees reflect New Zealand Red Cross values.
- Foster a positive team culture through training and development opportunities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of retail operations, stock management, sales drivers, administration, banking, and cash handling.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a management role, preferably in retail or customer service.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Enthusiasm for sustainable fashion and community impact.
- Exceptional customer service skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of ensuring goods are priced within guidelines.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.
