About the Position

We are seeking an experienced agronomist to join our team as a Forage Agronomy Expert. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical advice and recommendations to customers on forage and pasture selection, establishment, management, and improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of forage and pasture species, agronomy, soil science, and livestock production systems. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical information into practical advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing expert technical advice and recommendations to customers on forage and pasture selection, establishment, management, and improvement
  • Assisting with forage breeding programs and farm skills development
  • Conducting field trials and demonstrations to showcase the latest pasture and forage technologies
  • Collaborating with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and support customer relationships
  • Preparing detailed reports, technical articles, and other communications to share agronomic insights and best practices

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in agriculture, agronomy, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of forage and pasture species, agronomy, soil science, and livestock production systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to translate technical information into practical advice
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the region
