About the Position
Auckland Council is seeking a seasoned Office Manager / Engagement Advisor to join the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board support team. This permanent full-time role offers a unique opportunity for someone to make a lasting impact on the community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality office management services, leading community engagement activities, and building strong relationships between the local board members, mana whenua, community groups, and the wider community.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Aotea / Great Barrier Local Board office, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to enhance stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with local board members to address community needs and issues.
- Maintain accurate records and databases to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including elected members, senior managers, and the public.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proven track record in administration support, office management, or personal assistant roles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
The ability to work effectively in a small, tight-knit team.
