The Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Inpatient Allied Health team at Kenepuru Hospital. The successful candidate will work across the Inpatient Health of the Older Person and Orthopaedic/Surgical wards, with some flexibility to meet demand. This role requires excellent clinical and communication skills, with a focus on assessing and contributing to decision-making and complex discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and high-quality Physiotherapy input as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Assess and contribute to decision-making and complex discharge planning
  • Mentor rotational Physiotherapists, students, and delegate work to Allied Health Assistants
  • Contribute to project work focusing on patient-centered goal setting, streamlined amputee pathways, and improved links with community rehabilitation teams

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Physiotherapy
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities

We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist who shares our values of manaakitanga, kotahitanga, and rangatiratanga. You will have a clear understanding of the health needs of our Maori and Pacific Island communities and be comfortable working with patients and whanau from diverse backgrounds.
