Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technician to join our lighting and staging team. As part of this role, you will play an integral part in the production team, assisting in the delivery of events across the organisation. Your daily responsibilities will consist of:
  • Setting up and packing down technical equipment in various venues
  • Working on different event types including theatre productions, musicals, dance, concerts, conferences, meetings, product launches, etc.
  • Collaborating with highly experienced technicians using state-of-the-art equipment and systems
  • Engaging with artists, promoters, and corporates from community to international event companies

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • Broad knowledge of theatre terminology and working practices
  • A good understanding of theatre protocols and operating systems including lighting consoles, intelligent lights, lighting effects, traditional patching, lighting networking, DMX, Streaming ACN, etc.
  • Physical fitness and strength
  • Good communication and client engagement skills
  • The ability to work under direction, in co-operation with others, and self-directed as needed
