About the Role

The Allied Health Assistant plays a vital role in supporting patients in their recovery and rehabilitation at Kenepuru Hospital. As part of our inpatient team, you will work closely with Allied Health Professionals to carry out delegated tasks, including physically assisting with patient rehabilitation sessions and practicing daily living and rehabilitation tasks.

You will be responsible for issuing equipment, facilitating group classes, and performing some administration tasks. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn, a great team player, and enjoy working with a wide range of people, including older adults, people with neurological conditions, and those with orthopaedic injuries.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our inpatient team is a close-knit group of allied health, nursing, and medical colleagues based at Kenepuru Hospital. We are a team that loves to learn and upskill, and we encourage service improvements that benefit both patients and staff.

A highlight of this role is the opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, with free parking available on site. This position sits within the wider Kenepuru Inpatient Allied Health team, which consists of over 35 Allied Health staff from various disciplines.
