About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced Building Inspector to join our Field Surveying team in Manukau. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting building inspections across Auckland South to ensure compliance with relevant legislative and safety requirements.
">Key Responsibilities

- Conduct building inspections to identify non-compliance issues and provide guidance on corrective actions.">
- Work with clients from various sectors, including builders, homeowners, architects, and developers, to provide advice on compliant building practices.">
- Inspect building work to ensure compliance with building codes, policies, and other legislative requirements.">
- Provide accurate and timely advice to customers, applying sound reasons for decisions and maintaining robust records of inspections.">
Requirements
">To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A deep knowledge of building compliance and construction principles.">
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.">
- A customer-focused approach, with a solution-oriented mindset.">
- The ability to manage competing demands and resolve conflicts effectively.">
- Relevant qualifications, such as the National Diploma in Building Control Surveying or equivalent professional qualification (IANZ accepted).">
