Event Attraction and Business Development Professional

About the Role
The Event Attraction and Business Development Officer will be the central point of contact for event enquiries and venue bookings, providing vital information to clients and coordinating event logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Action requests to ensure venues meet customer needs in a timely fashion and provide excellent customer service.
- Identify opportunities for business development to further expand the venues events business.
- Assist with administration and event coordination of venues presented events.
- Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled.
- Development and confirmation of venue hire contracts with hirers.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Ideally tertiary qualification and/or appropriate level of experience in related field, including sales and/or negotiation.
- Sound computer skills - with good understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Building positive internal and external customer relationships.
- Experience of events and venues (desirable).
- Knowledge of hospitality industry (desirable).
