We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as Head of Technical Services at Ko Taku Reo. This national role is based in Christchurch and requires occasional travel. This position involves collaborating with senior leadership to drive technical innovation and ensure robust IT operations that support our strategic goals. As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement long-term IT infrastructure improvement plans, lead technical projects, and oversee vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive technical innovation and ensure robust IT operations
  • Develop and implement long-term IT infrastructure improvement plans
  • Lead technical projects using change management and project management methodologies
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage procurement of IT tools and services
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Requirements:

  • IT tertiary qualification (Level 7 or higher) in IT or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior IT leadership role with a proven track record
  • Strong commercial management and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud platforms and network operations
  • Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships
  • Proficiency in NZ Sign Language (or a commitment to learn)
