There is virtually nothing that happens in our organisation without some IT touch.About the team | Ko te ropu neiOur Digital Service Operations department is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Digital Service Operations and related programmes, across the Council IT Infrastructure and IT.Sitting within this unit is the newly created role of Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer.This is a key role for us and one that will focus on delivering and managing all our Infrastructural and Cloud environment within the Council, ensuring alignment to our Strategic IT requirements.About the role | Ko te mahi neiThis work looks like:Contributing to the development of platform, scripts and templates.Assisting with tool selection and facilitation of automation where possible.Deployment of the Council's computing strategy along with requisite management and monitoring.Assisting with all application deployment in all environments.Providing technical leadership and mentoring at a senior level on information relating to Infrastructural and Cloud services.Working in collaboration with the other System engineers who look after our technical and security environments.As the Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer, we need someone with all the right qualifications and experience in system engineering, strong knowledge of application programming interface (API) interaction and programming languages, and who has current certification as Infrastructure and Cloud engineer.Most importantly, you will have a true passion for what you do and share this passion with those working alongside you.Like our city, the Christchurch City Council is growing and evolving.
