Māori Performing Arts Educator

Awanuiārangi Council seeks two accomplished Kaihaka to join our esteemed team of educators.
As a Lecturer in the Bachelor of Māori Performing Arts programme, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of kaihaka. Your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students, including setting relevant assessments and providing academic support.
You will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with kapa and their Kapa Kaiako. To be successful in this role, applicants must have demonstrated excellence in Māori performing arts at all levels and hold a Master's degree qualification relevant to Matauranga Māori, as well as tertiary teaching experience to Masters' level.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of tikanga Māori and fluency in Te Reo Māori. We offer a stimulating working environment that welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds.
