Westlake Girls High School is a leading secular state girls' school in New Zealand with more than 2,000 students, situated on Auckland's North Shore and enjoys a reputation for excellence in academic studies, cultural & sporting activities as well as engagement with the local community. There is an ongoing programme of investment in teaching and facilities across the school which has an impressive history and an exciting future.

An opportunity has arisen to join our Pastoral team as Dean for Māori students. We seek a passionate and enthusiastic kaiako who will share in the kura's aspiration for ākonga and whānau success. They will be willing to assist with upholding the mana of our kura and will actively be involved in the wider WGHS community, developing progressive leaders mō āpōpō.

Applications are invited from inspiring, passionate and innovative kaiako who are also well versed in NCEA and NZQA practices to guide our Māori akonga. A commitment to mana ōrite mō te mārauranga māori and cultural responsiveness is essential.

Applicants are expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement.
